Wendy Powick took up the game in 2020 at the young age of 53. She fell in love with golf after her first sweet pure 5 iron went straight down the fairway during a game her husband and the boys.
Wendy started documenting her golf journey and created an Instagram account to share her experiences, funny golf videos, progress and successes.
She joined Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club where former ALPGA tour pro Nicole James was based. After supporting and guiding her, Wendy soon had an official handicap of 39 and was ready to tackle the game in every way.
Fast forward 4 months and Wendy is down to a handicap of 24 and obsessed with the game. Her drive, passion and commitment to get better is inspirational and we are proud to have her in Team Red Belly to help attract more women to this great game.
